boys team charity - Prospective Member

Please note: THIS FORM IS ACTIVE MARCH 4-11, 2024 for interested applicants to the Alamo-Danville league of boys team charity.

Members must live within the boundaries of the San Ramon Valley or Monte Vista High School districts to be eligible for membership in this league.

Dear Prospective boys team charity League member,
Thank you for your interest in joining boys team charity (btc). boys team charity is a volunteer service organization dedicated to developing an altruistic spirit in young men through active participation of parents and sons in philanthropic projects in their community.

Our Alamo-Danville calendar operating year runs May 1, 2024, through April 30, 2025. Our website will be open to Prospective New Members (high school graduating classes 2025 thru 2030) March 4-11, 2024. Please complete the Prospective Member App during that timeframe. Please note that membership is renewed on an annual basis and class sizes are capped at 26 boys, as governed by the rules and regulations set forth by our btc Inc. Board of Directors.

Prospective new members must be sponsored by an existing member and will selected to their class by a random draw, sometimes resulting in a waiting list. All applicants will be contacted by the Membership committee in mid March with additional information regarding the new membership process and status of application.

Hours Requirements:
Annual minimum Philanthropy Service Hours requirements for both boys and parent(s):
Grade 7, 8 & 9.......................15 hours each*
Grade 10, 11, & 12..................10 hours each*
Annual minimum League Hours requirements for both boys & parent(s): 6 hours minimum each (earned by attending general or grade level meetings, or by volunteering for the league)

Volunteer requirements: btc is a volunteer organization that is operated by parent volunteers. Coaches are responsible for committing to two years of leadership service - either one job for 2 years, or two jobs for one year each.

Financial Requirements: Each league has annual membership dues that are used to cover the costs of operating the league. Please contact the VP Membership (contact info will be provided to you at the end of this application) if you need specific league dues information.

Sponsorship: New btc members must be sponsored by current btc members. If your son does not have a sponsor, you will need to find a current btc member to sponsor your family. In the event your family does not know any existing members, we can assist you in finding a sponsor.

btc membership is reviewed on an annual basis and new btc members are selected by a random draw. This can result in waiting lists per class (grade). You will be notified of your status in late March.
