Membership Information

Mission Statement 

boys team charity is a volunteer service organization dedicated to developing an altruistic spirit in young men through active participation of parents and sons in philanthropic projects in their communities.



  1. 1.  Serve the Community: Develop a sense of social responsibility.
  1. 2.  Promote Personal Growth: Build self esteem and a giving spirit.
  2. 3.  Strengthen Family Relationships:  Deepen bonds with parents by working together in boys team charity.
  3. 4.  Develop Leadership Skills:  Cultivate respect and an appreciation of others by working as a team, 
         developing leadership skills, and creating friendships.
  4. 5.  Provide Educational Opportunities:  Provide young men with experiences that foster their community 
         responsibilities and goals.


Facts & Requirements

  • •  Boys are “TeamMates” and Parents are “Coaches
  •   Our annual operating year is May 1st through April 30th 
  •   New members may apply to join btc anytime during the annual membership drive during their 7th through 11th grade year. Boys are assigned to “teams” by the grade which they will enter in the fall of that membership year. 

  • There are up to 26* boys in each team (by grade) with vacancies filled during annual membership drive by random draw as they are available. We maintain a waitlist of interested candidates should we not have openings in a particular team.
  •      *Target class size; this may vary slightly due to limited board-approved exceptions

  •   btc Alamo-Danville League applicants are eligible for membership if they live within the boundaries of the San Ramon Valley or Monte Vista High School districts.
  •   btc has three (3) General Membership meetings per year (May, September and January) that both the boy and parent(s) should attend
  •   btc has three (3) additional grade level meetings per year that the boy only should attend
  •   Annual Philanthropy Service Hours requirements for both boys and parent(s): 
                Grade  7 & 8 ........................15 hours each
                Grade  9, 10, 11, & 12...........10 hours each
  •   Annual League Hours requirements for both boys and parent(s): 6 hours minimum each
  •    (earned by attending general or grade level meetings as mentioned above)
  •   Annual Financial Requirements: 
                TeamMate plus one or two Coaches (parents).........$150
  •             Additional TeamMate...........................................$50      


Sponsorship Information

All new members to btc Alamo-Danville must be sponsored by a current btc Alamo-Danville member in good standing.

Once a current member has agreed to serve as a Sponsor, he/she must submit the Intent to Sponsor Form to the VP of Membership. The Prospective Member must then complete the New Member Application (available online on the homepage) and submit by the deadline listed below. 

All new applicants are sorted by their appropriate class. If there are more applicants than space available in a class, the applicants will be selected by random draw to fill the class or, if necessary, placed on a waitlist.  All Prospective Member Applicants and their Sponsors will be contacted by the VP of Membership following the draw.

Legacies (siblings of current members) are automatic members.

Membership Drive Timeline

btc membership year runs May 1 - April 30. Membership Renewal and Prospective Member Drive are typically held:

February 25-March 7, 2022: Prospective Member Drive 

March 8-24, 2022: 
New Member Draw and Notification Period   

May tbd 2022: New Member Orientation
